Just can't stop pursing!!

Now this may come as a bit of a surprise.......

As a child I could actually be a right stroppy little independent knowall madam little sassy. At times this drove my poor Mum to distraction. She always knew I'd get my comeuppance and I have - I've got a Minx who takes after me!!

Anyway, what I'm tortuously leading up to is the fact that at times of debate with my lovely Mum I would often hear her say '...AND YOU CAN STOP PURSING AT ME TOO, MADAM!!'

I never quite understood what she meant at the time.

Well, today I have been pursing like mad.

But in a good way :)

My lovely friend Mrs Trash emailed me yesterday as she had a desperate urge to make a zippy purse but needed a question answered. As I like a bit of research I went off into the ether to look for tutorials and came across this fantastic one.

Of course, I suddenly needed to make one too!!

Gulp - I even cut into my Chocolate Lollipop gorgeousness!

This makes me smile...... :) :) :)

I got on a bit of a roll and even did a couple of gussety ones. The turquoise one is for my friend Niki's birthday next week. The funky flowery one is for Minx as it's her birthday in two weeks.

After all the pursing I felt like a bit of a basket-case......see:

Shameless plug alert, as this one has gone in my shop :) sold :)

I'm off now as I have an hour and twenty minutes before fetching the beasts from school......time to make a few more purses!!!

Those zippy purses are gorgeous. But what a coincidence - I've got fabric and zips waiting for exactly the same thing so now I've seen how lovely they look I might actually get around to making them!

PS I've just been to your shop!!!

Gorgeous purses. Did I mention I love that fabric? I think I might have. I have all the fabrics ready and waiting to make an Amy Butler bag - I just need the motivation to drag out the machine. One of these days I'll get to it!

LOL @ the pursing btw. Plenty of that going on around here from Lady Grace today.

Wonderful zippy creations there Mrs M. And of course I already knew that you were undisputed queen of the GUSSET ;-) Sorry I haven't replied to the other thing yet - life :-O

I'm going to have to buy some little zips and make some of those pouches: wonderful make up bags, pencil cases, etc. etc.

Gorgeous. Gorgeous. Gorgeous.

Glad to see that your shop is doing so well too.

:)

ps. My mum used to make her lips go really flat when she was unhappy with me. I've been practising for years and have finally mastered it ;)

I used to get told "If you stick that lip out any further I'll sit on it!" Oops! Course I didn't sulk!!! Beautiful purse Lesley (not the expression) and thanks for the link. How did you make so many in one day?!!! I'm worn out just reading about them :)

I keep threatening to make myself a purse, so maybe I'll just do it and get it over with and out of my system.

I took a special photo just for you while I was in Kansas City yesterday. I'll post it with my other KC photos and see if you can tell which one it is. :-)

Gosh you're awfully clever!

I popped over from Julie's, btw.

I bet a small Bear could fit into that last one.

Lovely lovely stuff and well done on being brave and using your scrummy fabric. It's funny I was out with my mum and Twiglet last week and he was rolling around on the floor shouting I WILL NOT - my mum looked at me and said ha what goes around, comes around - lol I really don't know what she means I was a complete angel ;)

I hope you had a great weekend! Your zippy purses are to die for!!! I can't believe you actually used your Lollipop fabric. I thought it'd take much longer. And the whole transition from Hilary to purses was pretty smooth!!! You are jumping quickly into professional purse/bag maker!

Gorgeous fabric and purses! I wonder whether my sewing mackine would be up to that sort of thing? Although I've managed to avoid to sewing machine/zip combination so far ....

A little birdie/locket told me that it's your b-day today (March 31st) - MINE TOO!

Have a WONDERFUL b-day (and we just won't worry about figuring out who is older - unless of course, it's YOU! : )

xoxo

ps: love, love, love the purses - even Hilary's!
