150, no news and some rule bending

Who would have thought it?

This is my 150th post!!!

How did that happen so fast?

I know there are some blog traditions to uphold but more of that later....

I thought you might like something pretty to look at:

These are all vintage textiles that my lovely Mum gave to me over the years. I was ironing a couple of them today and decided I should share their gorgeousness with you :)

Yesterday's course went. Not saying how it went. It was full of necessary and informative stuff. Good lunch. Not the most dynamic way to end the week....

I haven't heard about the job yet but as I was out all day yesterday that may not have helped!! I'll be ringing them on Monday afternoon if I don't hear by lunchtime.

As last week ended up a little busy I was totally unprepared for reaching the big 1..5..0 and as a result have not even thought about a giveaway.

Therefore, I've decided to bend the 'rules' slightly and will be having a 155th Blog Giveaway sometime later in the week so keep popping by as it could be happening any day!!!

Hope you have a lovely weekend....now to get the ironing done.......

Grrrrr, Blogger is playing Silly Bloggers at the moment ... first it ate my comment at MM's and now at your place too! :-(

Just wanted to say how lovely the flowery pictures are - you are playing with Picasa too, eh? ;-)

Nothing wrong with having a 155 giveaway is there? 155 is a perfectly lovely number!

Have a good weekend. x

150. Well done.

Beeyootiful embroidery there Missus M. Did your Mum do any of it or simply had the good taste to appreciate it?

Btw, ironing? Shall I bring mine around for you?

Lovely embroidery from your mum - will you make them into anything or just keep them as they are? Can you wait for my ironing too? If you only do Trashy's it will be favouritism!!!!!

Hmmm. I thought so. I've just checked and it turns out that ironing at the weekend is actually illegal. Also, you have to be really careful about when you do it in the week too, as the new ironing laws are very tight.

It's probably best if you refrain from doing it at all.

Wouldn't want you to get arrested now, would we?

Thanks for sharing the very pretty fabrics with us, I particularly like the bottom left one.

Have a happy Sunday and remember .... NO IRONING!!

:)

Congrats on 150! That came round fast! Boo to the people for not phoning about the job - do they not realise how many of us are waiting eagerly for news?

Hope the ironing went well. Do youn feel like popping over to do mine now? I'll give you a piece of shortbread ... (and now I look down the comments I see just how unoriginal that was. Bah. I should be used to it by now ;-)

How untraditional of you :) I shall try to remember to check back - I do like a nice giveaway..

In unrelated matters, I'm not sure I've ever read your whole profile before as I just noticed the three gerbils for the first time - snap that, we are also a tri-gerbilly family. GMTA, I guess!

I missed this post while I was busy cooking this weekend! I have been thinking about you and the new job. If it's meant to be, then you'll get it. I know that sounds lame but it usually is true. Good luck!
