Say what? Another craft obsession?

I'm not entirely sure what happened to those times when I blogged almost daily. There was a time when I seemed to have something crafty to show or something to say every single day. Nowadays, I take a more ad hoc approach.

In crafty news, I'm still very much in a knitting phase.

The latest project is a pair of nice plain socks for me......in 'hand-dyed by me' wool.

Of course, one thing tends to lead to another........

.......and I may have unearthed yet another crafty obsession!

In other news, I've spent hours and hours and hours and hours on the internet lately.

Reading blogs?

Nope.

On Ravelry?

Nope.

House-hunting.

Gulp!

We may very well be on the move. Looking to move out of the city in search of better secondary schools. We have 18 months before our tiny baby boy starts secondary school.

We could stay put and hope for the best but, sadly, we're not overly impressed with what's happening to the schools round here, so it's a matter of biting the bullet and moving Family Moog.

Ugh! You should see the c**p we have to clear out of our attic!!!

Hand dyed sock yarn - how fab!

It's such a dilemma - this whole secondary school malarkey. Good luck with the old house-hunting!

Oooo lovely socks. A move how exciting!! We moved from the city to the country 7 months after Twiglet was born - one of the reasons were the dire schools. He's now at our lovely very small village school and I still haven't unpacked everything - oops !!

You could move to Norway too;-) The schools might not be great, but we have snow and views and some moving wool to:-D (and lots of space!)
And you could teach me to dye wool...

Ooh, please tell us how you dyed the wool? The socks look fab! Good luck with your moving plans - whilst the thought of a new house is very exciting, I can't say I envy you, the thought of clearing out our loft sends shivers down my spine!

Don't listen to Jodie, if you move to Australia all those otehr dogs will just tease Moog for barking with a funy accent.

Decent secondary school up here on the hill you know.....

Love your dyeing and the socks. Good luck with the move. We may be on the move shortly so I know how you feel about the junk we have a loft full.

I dread the thought of moving so don't envy you the clearing out but it sounds exciting to be thinking of a big change - good luck with your looking, I hope you find somewhere that feels instantly like home. I love your socks - very impressed with your hand-dying!

Love the wool and the socks...I have yet to learn how to turn the heel! Some day....

We have another two years until secondary school change takes place but it is already at the forefront of my mind! A little concerning...

Oh my, I don't envy you the moving thing - but I bet you'll be glad you did it. Only one choice of school round here, but luckily they are getting great results, so that's where No.1 goes.

Love, love, love the dyeing. How are you doing it? With what? It's great! x
