It's been a funny old day. My lovely cousin who lives in Cornwall phoned me today and we shared crafty tales, children tales and had a chat about how much we miss Mum. Then she told me that her brother, also my cousin obviously, has just been diagnosed with cancer. He has a rare sort of cancerous tumour behind his knee and apparently there are only two specialists in the UK who can operate on him. We are all hoping and praying that he gets sorted quickly and makes a full recovery. He is just 2 years older than me and married with two young children.
I will be happy to see 2007 draw to a close.
I have sewn like a mad thing today and got another five little girl's bags made for next week:
I'm also working on the Rosy doll update. Thought I'd try felt hair for a change. Not sure if they'll work yet. I'm going to embroider their faces tonight.
I picked Ruby up earlier for a cuddle and she had brown stuff all round her chops. After a tentative sniff I ascertained it was, in fact, chocolate and the Minx has just admitted to sharing her piece of Galaxy with her last night :o)

To put your mind at rest Monkee Maker, the Moog is a girl dog, so no dangly bits were involved in yesterday's monkee trauma!
I've got some catching up to do on the blog front. Bethany tagged me and I still have to do my bit. I've also been looking at some lovely new blogs this week and have to do a post about them.
I'll try to play catch up this weekend.
We have a weekend at home with nothing booked in apart from Minx's half hour 'modern dance' class tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed for some sewing time and some nice walks with the Moog and the Monkee.
Hope you all keep safe and warm, or safe and cool depending on your hemispherical location.
Love xxxx

I hope you're not mixing pain killers and wine!!!! We will say healing prayers here for your cousin. I get to go to the dr. next week about something...I keep saying I'm probably ambivalent to some terminal ailment--ignorance is bliss... hopefully not.
You've been busy, as usual, making me look like a slug. Thanks.
Your bags are wonderful...love the one with the big red heart!!
I hope your cousin gets well really soon and gets all the attention and care he needs.
If you are feeling delicate then you obviously haven't had ENOUGH to drink!!!!!
The bags are amazing - I really admire your colour and pattern mixing - I'm not confident enough to be truly creative and you definitely are! I hope the manky mum's appreciate them!!!

I started reading your post, and I have to say I was so sad for your family. I am sending huge prayers to you all! I do not know how you segued your way into it, but, then you just had me rolling with laughter regarding "dangly bits"! Oh and I love the bags. Hope things get better for everyone in 2008!
Thinking of you and your cousin and his family. I hope 2008 is a better year for you. x
You can't have been too hung over and still made those adorable bags.
I'm very sorry to hear about your cousin. I felt the same way about 2005 as you apparently do about 2007. We'll pray for better times for you and yours.
XOXO
Lots of love and best wishes for your cousin Lesley.
